Sttoq is a Fractional Share Platform whereby users can purchase US based company shares in fractions. The Sttoq Privacy Policy applies any user of the platform via the Website or Application, and our Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use.

Sttoq is used worldwide making it a multi-jurisdiction company. Through using our platform and services via the Website or Application, you hereby agree that your personal information that you have provided upon sign-up and supplied directly to us, or information that we collect via and during your use of the platform and services, may be transferred to and stored in the United States and handled as outlined in this Policy.

Information You Provide Willingly To Us Through Your Account

This section covers information that you supply us with through text fields, such as your name, payment information etc. The information we collect will differ as this will be dependent whether you make an content creator account, become a user/user, or studio or agency account.

To open an account; one must provide us with the following details:

  • First and Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Username
  • Password
  • State and Country of Residence
  • Postal Address
  • Copy of your Identification Document or Passport
  • Verified Banking Confirmation

This list can change and it is not exhaustive.

You may also sign up using a Facebook or Google account. We will ask the relevant platforms for permission to access basic information from your Facebook or Google account, such as your name, email, and profile picture. You have the option to stop sharing that information with us at any time by going onto Facebook or Google and select remove Sttoq’s access to that account.

You may also add other information to your account which will be seen on your public profile which we will store as well as store any messages you submit on Sttoq via the Website or Application.

Users

As a user you must supply us with your payment information to our selected payment processors. You can see the privacy policy for these payment processors on the PayPal and Stripe checkout sites and any other elected payment method as we chose. Currently Sttoq does not receive your full card number.

Payment processors provide us with a token that represents your account, your card’s expiration date, the card type and the last four digits of your card number. If you are required to provide your name and email address to the payment processor, then they will also provide us with that information.

We will save and process information about your trades.

Automatically Collected Information

Information will be composed and stored automatically as you use the site or via our third party analytics providers. We may store ‘usage information’ such as the type of devices you use to access Sttoq, your operating system, your browser type, IP address, and device ID, the pages you visit or request, various links clicked, referring sites, user interactions and your search terms in any search bar. We also can derive your location from your self-provided country selection, your IP address, and from your payment card or bank details.

Chat rooms and Messaging

When you participate in a chat room or forum, we save the comments you make and record frequency of use, the activity on the site, replies, with whom they’ve communicated, private messages, IP address, and from which location the user was last logged in.

Surveys

We may occasionally ask for your participation in user or user surveys. We may ask you to provide information such as demographics, gender, ethnicity, race, age, sexual orientation, current earnings etc all in order to better understand and serve our Users; which you may elect to share or not. We collect such information to ensure we provide fair and equal access to our services, and to showcase creators to users for greater discoverability. To the extent that you participate, we will store your survey responses.

Social Media Features and Widgets

We use social media features, such as the Facebook Like button and widgets, the Share button feature or alike interactive mini-programs that run on Sttoq. If you provide your social media information to us, we may use it to interact with you on these social networks. These features may collect your IP address and other personal data including which page you are visiting on our site and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on Sttoq. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it. How We Use Your Information

We use and process your information to:

  • verify your identity to ensure that it complies with UK, US federal, state, and international laws
  • sign into your account
  • allow you to subscribe to notifications on Sttoq
  • process payments and payouts
  • send you emails relevant to your analytics such as usage, as controlled by your email preferences
  • respond to your questions
  • understand how you use our services and platform, and create better tools to serve Users
  • undertake research and development to improve Sttoq and future products
  • prevent fraud and abuse on the Sttoq platform
  • provide you with reasonable accommodations, if you notify us of a disability

Information We Share with Service Providers and Third Parties

By becoming a user of a user, you agree to have the following information shared with that content creator:

  • your name, username and other open profile information you’ve provided
  • any direct messages you through Sttoq
  • your physical address, city, state, and country
  • your phone number
  • some analytics and data about how you use Sttoq that cannot be linked back to you or to any individual user

Users agree to the terms of our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) when they sign-up.

Information We Share with Third Parties

Sttoq will never sell your information to third parties. We will only share data with third parties under the following circumstances:

  • with our service providers, who are companies that are contractually engaged with us to provide us with services, such as, email management, analyzing data trends, credit card processing, multi-currency settlement solutions, marketing activities, and fraud detection and prevention. These companies may have access to your data to perform their services, and are obligated by contract to safeguard any of your data they receive from us to the same extent that Sttoq protects it.
  • to protect the security or credibility of Sttoq, and to protect the rights, premises and safety of Sttoq, its employees, users, users, or others, if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or other valid legal process (e.g., subpoenas or warrants served on Sttoq). If we are going to release your data, we will do our best to provide you promptly with notice by email, unless we are banned by law from doing so.
  • in connection with the sale, merger, bankruptcy, liquidation, sale of assets or reorganization of our company. We will notify you if a different company will start receiving your data. The promises in this privacy policy apply to any data transferred to a new entity unless they chose to change them.

Information Sttoq Collects from Third Party Apps

When you create a Sttoq account, you can opt to connect your social account(s) (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Google, YouTube etc) with Sttoq, and we will collect and store some information from those platforms, such as:

  • follower or subscriber counts
  • post or upload counts
  • view, like, shares and comments counts

This social information allows us to provide you a better Sttoq experience, and also helps guide future development of Sttoq. We use this data to:

  • strategize how to make our services more successful on Sttoq
  • analyze our business

Your Preferences and Rights over Data

Choosing Your Preferences

The Settings options are located by clicking on your profile once you log onto your Sttoq account. Settings allows you to see your account preferences. You can view and change your settings by viewing your preferences and selecting which preferences to change.

Marketing Activities

By agreeing to sign-in you automatically agree to our terms of use, you explicitly agree that Sttoq may:

  • supply you with information about your service, service changes or enhancements, or new Sttoq products, when you use our website or application.
  • send you messages regarding your current service, or enhancements related to your existing service, when you are off our platform, via email, or via text, if you have signed up for a service or event notification that uses text messages.
  • send you messages related to other services we provide, from which you may opt out.
  • market Sttoq to you, unless you opt out.
  • send you marketing emails or texts if you don’t have a Sttoq account but have consented to receiving such messages, from which you may opt out.
  • ask for demographic information.

Opting out of Marketing

You have the option to object to allowing us to use of your data for marketing purposes at any time, at no cost to you, as and when we collect your personal information and in all marketing activities. You may also object to the use of your data for marketing upon creation of your account or anytime thereafter, by selecting the opt out option.

Opting out will stop the selected marketing emails. This could take up to 30 days for your opt-out request to be processed. If you have an account with Sttoq, you will continue to receive service-related emails, and text messages, if you have opted into receiving texts.

We will never sell your information to third parties for marketing purposes without receiving your prior consent.

Accessing or Updating the Information in Your Account

You can view and update certain information associated with your account on the settings pages. Furthermore, you can delete your account.

Deleting Your Account

You may self-initiate a deletion of your account on the platform under settings.

Turning off Email Notifications

You can change your notifications for your email in your email settings. While this allows you to stop several notification emails however, we will still send some critical emails pertaining to service.

Turning off Mobile Notifications

If you download the Sttoq Application you may also receive notifications on your mobile device. These can be disabled in the App settings on your phone.

Verification of Requests

Users have password protected accounts with Sttoq, the onus is upon the user to keep these passwords safe. Should you chose to submit a request to exercise your privacy rights, you will be asked to verify the request by logging into your Sttoq account.

If we are unable to verify your request by you logging in successfully, then for your protection, we reserve the right to refute the request.

Compliance with EU Privacy Laws and Privacy Shield

Sttoq is a worldwide company that complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We act as ‘Data Controllers’, as defined under the GDPR, and we process personal data based on our valid interests, and for contractual necessity in providing you the Service as described in “How We Use Your Information” Section. We also process and share personal information based on notification and users’ consent, which our users may withdraw at any time.

Sttoq relies on various legal bases to lawfully execute international transfers of personal information, including the European Union Commission approved standard contract clauses.

Sttoq complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. Sttoq has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. Sttoq is responsible for the processing the personal information it receives or we transfer it to a third party acting as an agent on Sttoq’s behalf. Sttoq complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal information, including the onward transfer liability provisions.

With respect to personal information received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Sttoq is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Compliance with Delaware Privacy Laws

Sttoq is registered in London, England and we are subject to the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

Sttoq provides UK residents, and all users, the right to view, access, or transfer their information at the Sttoq Privacy Center. All users also have the right to submit a request for deletion of information by going to the Sttoq Privacy Center and requesting “Erase.”

Exercising Your Data Rights

Users in certain locations may have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or under UK Data Protection Act 2018 regarding data that Sttoq controls as a Data Controller as defined under the GDPR, including:

  • the right of access to their personal data,
  • the right to correct or change any inaccurate personal data,
  • the right to limit or oppose the processing of personal data,
  • the right to erase or delete their personal data,
  • the right to personal data transferability, and
  • the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information.

You may exercise rights over your data on Sttoq in the following ways:

  • accessing, reviewing, changing, and updating your data by logging into your account at Sttoq and going to your account settings.
  • downloading your data to port it, or deleting your data altogether in the Sttoq Privacy Center.
  • deleting a previously-disabled account by emailing Sttoq at [email protected].
  • opting out of marketing by entering your email address at this opt out link.
  • going to FAQ support online for data-related issues, or calling emailing us at [email protected]

If you are unable to log into your account, and are unable to recover your account with a password reset in order to lodge your privacy request, then you may reach out to [email protected]. We reserve the right to decline you access to or recovery of your account, at our discretion, for your benefit, to prevent an unauthorized takeover of your account.

Establishing an Authorized Agent

You may elect an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. In order to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, you must provide a valid power of attorney, the requester’s valid government ID documents, and the authorized agent’s valid government ID. Prohibition against Discrimination

There is no discrimination against users who chose to exercise their privacy rights.

Our Data Retention Period

We will store and keep your account information for ten (10) years from when your account is last active, unless request us to delete your account. We may continue to retain some information if you chose to delete your account this is if we are required to do so in order to comply with various laws.

Children

Sttoq is not directed at children under the age of 16, and children may not create an account or otherwise use Sttoq.

Changes

We may sometimes make changes to this policy. If we make material changes that adversely affect your rights under this policy, we will let you know by posting an announcement on the site or sending you an email in advance of the changes coming into effect.
